46/365: International Women's Day

I am currently doing a part time volunteer work at Gender Concerns International (GCI). The nama kinda speaks for itself, it's a non profit organisation that mainly focus on gender equality. Last Tuesday (March 8) was the 100th International Women's Day and GCI held a seminar titled Alert 2011: Women for Transformation.

It went smoothly so me and the team was pretty satisfied. :)

Happy belated women's day all!

44/365: Swirls

This was taken in front of Sacre Coeur, Paris.

Feeling so gaaaaaaahhh right now.. Swirling and swirling in this so called job-seeking life. It is so frustrating bordering with pathetic. Hope I will make it in one piece. Wish me the best of luck!

#027/365: Time Freezer

P027

How I wish I could stop the time.
Even for just a second.
It gets quite overwhelming sometimes how time flies.

#026/365: Lonesome

P026

At this moment there are 6,470,818,671 people in the world. Some are running scared. Some are coming home. Some tell lies to make it through the day. Others are just not facing the truth. Some are evil men, at war with good. And some are good, struggling with evil. Six billion people in the world, six billion souls. And sometimes... all you need is one. from Peyton Sawyer - One Tree Hill.

Pretty much how I feel at the moment

"Step closer or walk away. I won't give a show for people standing 20 feet away"

So does the street performer shouted to the tourists slash people wandering around. I went around the city center of Brussels and did a little people-watching. Having a date with myself. :) It's important to have a good relationship with fellow friends/colleagues yet it's also important to get to know myself better. It was lovely!

#024/365: Inception Night

P024

INCEPTION IS BRILLIANT!!
It's a must-watch of the year! :) I watched it with AU at UGC Brouckere in Brussels. And I am still going crazy over it even till now! Christopher Nolan is a freaking genius!

Afterwards, we went to see Brussels from the bird's eye angle (the one that fly really low to be more exact). Where was it? It was at the Parking 58 building, 10th floor. I took the tips from Use It Map.

I really don't know why the tourist guide makes a big fuzz about this place, it is not that special. First of all, there are ugly fences that block your view. (I know it's for protection and stuff) Secondly I don't think it's high enough to be recommended as the right place to see the overall city of Brussels.

Well anyways.. Guess what building/statue in the pic??

#023/365 : Ignorance

P023

I've heard so many times that the opposite of love is not hate, it is ignorance instead. Come to think of it, it makes sense. Sometimes you get more devastated when you're not talking with someone than when you're actually fighting with them. I mean when you hate someone at least you still care about what they are doing.

Yet on the other hand, sometimes ignorance is a bliss. It's perplexing how the leaves on top of the tree gets blown more by the winds. To put it on "people context", the more you gain/climb the bitchier people around you get. That's when ignorance is a bliss.

Why Monotone? Because
1. I love still photos / monotonic disposition / boring arrangement of dead objects that looks pretty
2. Being monotone is not always bad. Being organized/doing things organizedly is my cup of tea
3. it is how the so-called au-relationship works. We are just a couple of monotone people - go to the same places to eat - do almost the same stuff everytime we meet (vertically and horizontally). Yet at some point I realized probs we are not monotone-monotone but dynamically-monotone. We (dynamically) going somewhere (wherever it is) yet doing monotone things and stay monotone-ly in love. MY BRUSSELS SUNDAY! My fave thing to do on Sunday is to walk around the city centre of Brussels, especially around the small art market near Grand Place. I bought a bracelet to be my wish/lucky charm bracelet. Knotted it 3 times: 1. for Pao's recovery, 2. for wonderful career in Europe 3. for LOVE in whatever form. :)

Pretty (HALF) moon spotted when I was walking home from movies by myself (both the walking and the movies). I watched Shrek 4 in 3D. It was alright, not so special but okay. Remind me of my cutest lil bro APUT. He lovessss Shrek. Missing my family the most at the moment.. With my grandpa and my aunt being sick, my sist recently graduating from uni - CONGRATS SIST!, and just the fact that it is summer holiday.. and on holiday you do nice things with people you love.. :(

Well anyways.. I believe I am going to have a great summer as well here! I bought the ticket to PUKKELPOP! I am going to watch it with Laras! We're gonna have so much fun!
